A new digital platform has been officially launched to support foreign workers who choose Bulgaria as their destination for employment, study, or long-term residence. The initiative is particularly focused on citizens of Georgia and Moldova, who benefit from bilateral labour agreements that simplify legal migration procedures.
The website cometobg.eu serves as a central information hub, providing clear, structured, and multilingual guidance on a wide range of topics – from visa and residence requirements to job search support, education, healthcare access, and integration services. Designed with user experience in mind, it offers accessible content in Georgian, Romanian, and English, making it easier for users to navigate complex legal procedures and administrative processes.
In addition to practical information, the platform includes step-by-step instructions on how to apply for work permits, residence status, and family reunification. It also features frequently asked questions, downloadable documents, and links to relevant institutions such as the Employment Agency, Migration Directorate, and Bulgarian embassies abroad.
The project aims to improve transparency and efficiency in the migration process, reduce misinformation, and ensure that foreign workers have the tools they need to integrate successfully into Bulgarian society. It reflects Bulgaria’s commitment to addressing labour shortages in key sectors by welcoming workers from countries with which it has special agreements.
This initiative is expected to benefit not only workers but also employers, public institutions, and NGOs that support integration. Future updates will include personalized tools, interactive content, and mobile accessibility.
