This allows applicants to properly prepare their documents even before submitting an application and to avoid delays related to missing attestations or incorrectly formatted translations.
Before starting the official recognition procedure, applicants are advised to check the NACID instructions, as the requirements may be changed and supplemented depending on international agreements and administrative practices.
Of particular interest are the procedures for Moldova and Georgia – countries from which a significant number of students and prospective students continue their education in Bulgaria every year, and with which Bulgaria has agreements regulating labour migration. For documents issued in Moldova, a secondary education diploma is usually required, accompanied by the relevant annexes with grades. The authenticity of the documents should be certified according to current international rules, and the documents must be submitted with a translation into Bulgarian. For documents from Georgia, it is also necessary to present a secondary education diploma and a document with grades, when they are not included in the main document. Depending on the specific case, a document with an Apostille may be required, as well as an official translation into Bulgarian.
