Granting Residence Permits to “Digital Nomads”

The Council of Ministers (Bulgaria’s government) has approved a mechanism for granting a new type of residence permit – a “digital nomad” residence permit, allowing third-country nationals to reside in Bulgaria for an extended period without having an employment contract or any employment relationship with a local employer, the government press service has announced.
