As part of the project “Fostering of legal migration from Moldova and Georgia to Bulgaria”, implemented by the European Institute, two informational events took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, between July 14 and 17, 2025. The focus was on opportunities for legal migration from Georgia to Bulgaria and the European Union.
The events were inaugurated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia and the Director of the European Institute Foundation. The program included expert training discussions and an interactive informational simulation tour on the benefits and challenges of legal migration to Bulgaria and other EU countries. Participants were introduced to the legal framework and the opportunities for legal residence and employment in Bulgaria, as well as access to the Bulgarian labor market under the Agreement on the Regulation of Labor Migration between Bulgaria and Georgia. Good practices from countries such as Germany and case studies from the Court’s practice were also presented. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to receive individual consultations from experts and free informational materials at specially designated information stands.
