At the end of July, a joint meeting took place between the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova. The discussion focused on the upcoming official opening of a branch of Ruse University in the Taraclia District. This will be the first Bulgarian higher education institution established outside the borders of Bulgaria. Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized the mutual support and the investments made by Bulgaria in the fields of education, infrastructure, energy, and urban development.
The Taraclia University, which now functions as a branch of Ruse University, offers degree programs in Bulgarian, Romanian, and English, providing opportunities for European diplomas and scholarships for students. In addition, the Bulgarian government has donated 1,000 literature textbooks in Bulgarian to support the linguistic and cultural identity of the Bulgarian community. New academic programs are planned to open in the fields of computer science, agriculture, technology, business, linguistics, and others.
